A Mod modifies a certain single aspect of your bitweaver install. It's an alternative way of displaying something, using an alternative template, thus saving you the time of changing the code in the .tpl-files yourself. It's a modification that's not grown up to be a Feature yet. Also, Mods are easily outdated.
